Whose interests do the police protect when they are beating up women?

4. 9. 2017 - BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

Since the beginning of August 2017, villagers of Kruscica (Central Bosnia) have been protesting against the construction of two hydropower plants that are supposed to be built on the Kruscica river flowing through the village. Despite these strong local protests, the authorities failed to respond to their questions and hear the will of the citizens. On August 24, the police intervention was held by the police, who brutally attacked, and the group of 40 women, blocking the bridge at that time.
